The Leadership Westlake platform is a private tool that Ayres Labs LLC provides and the Westlake Chamber of Commerce uses to run the Leadership Westlake program. It applies to everyone who uses it: class members, the steering committee, chamber liaisons, day facilitators, and Chamber staff. Getting an account is a privilege extended to people involved in the Program. These guidelines work alongside the Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • Your account is for you. Don't share your login, and keep your password and any multi-factor codes to yourself.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account, so turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it's offered.
  • If you think someone else has gotten into your account, tell an administrator right away.

2. What the platform is for

Use the platform for real Program work: schedules, rosters, attendance, surveys, agendas, program materials, and messaging with your team. Keep what you post accurate, professional, and respectful of the other people in the Program.

3. What not to do

  • Don't misuse member information. The roster and member details are for running the Program, not for marketing or prospecting. Don't export, copy, or repurpose contact lists, attendance, or survey data for anything outside the Program.
  • Don't sell or self-promote. The platform isn't a place for sales pitches, self-promotion, political advocacy, or brand marketing. That's the same standard the Program holds for its speakers.
  • Don't harass or post harmful content. Nothing unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or defamatory.
  • Don't poke at security. Don't try to reach data or areas you're not meant to see, test the platform's defenses, or interfere with how it runs.
  • Don't pass along others' information. Don't forward another participant's personal details, messages, or survey responses outside the Program without their okay.

4. Handling sensitive Program information

Some users, such as steering committee members and program chairs, can see sensitive information like member details, attendance, and survey responses. Treat that information as confidential, and use it only to run and improve the Program. Survey feedback in particular is a tool for making the Program better, not a performance review or something to repeat publicly about a person.

5. Keeping it on-mission

Messages and posts should stay professional and focused on leadership, program logistics, and building relationships. Speakers, sponsors, and participants shouldn't use the platform to advertise or to push a political or personal agenda. This is the same spirit that guides the Program itself.

6. Your privacy and data

The platform collects only what it needs to run the Program, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Your information is used only to operate the Program; it's never sold or used for advertising. What you can see is limited by your role, so you'll only find the information that fits what you do in the Program.

7. Who owns the platform

The platform and its software belong to Ayres Labs LLC and are licensed to the Westlake Chamber of Commerce for Program use. The program content you create, like agendas and survey responses, belongs to the Chamber under its agreement with Ayres Labs. Please don't copy or redistribute the platform itself.

8. Staying secure

  • Keep your devices reasonably secure, and sign out on shared computers.
  • Report anything that looks off, whether a security concern, a data error, or a lost device, to an administrator promptly.

9. If the guidelines are broken

Breaking these guidelines can lead to a warning, a suspension, or losing access to the platform, and where it's warranted, removal from the Program. The Chamber makes those calls, with Ayres Labs handling the technical side. Serious misuse of member data or security can also carry legal consequences.

10. Updates and questions

The Chamber and Ayres Labs may update this policy as the Program and platform grow, and you'll be asked to accept it again when something meaningful changes. Questions, or something to report? Contact the program administrator at info@westlakechamber.com.

Acknowledgment

By signing below, or by accepting this policy when you first sign in to the platform, you confirm you have read these guidelines and agree to follow them, and you authorize the Leadership Westlake program to keep your name and contact information to run the Program.
